Lesson: Patience
Nora wants her little clay snail to explore a paper garden. But its soft body needs time to dry, and waiting takes longer than she hoped.
For parents & caregivers
Nora lifts her newly made clay snail too soon and its body bends. After repairing it, she prepares a paper garden while the clay dries. When she wants to try the model on the path, she remembers the tipping shell and uses her fingers instead. The next morning brings more disappointment and another choice to leave it alone. Once Dad checks that it is firm, Nora can finally move it through the garden. The payoff follows the material becoming ready, without a lecture, prize or demand that waiting always feel pleasant.
