Lesson: Sharing
Most purchased
Ada's favorite blue cup makes wonderful sand cakes. When her cousin Ben asks for a turn, their little pretend bakery has room for a new idea.
For parents & caregivers
Ada wants to finish three sand cakes with her favorite cup before opening her pretend bakery. Ben accepts that she is still using it and prepares a delivery tray. Once Ada starts decorating, she chooses to lend him the cup and asks him to return it to a particular spot. He makes a tall cake and returns the cup as promised. The cousins then take turns making a circle of little cakes together. Sharing is a voluntary, bounded loan that grows into shared play; no adult forces the exchange or labels either child.
